SERVICES GEN 3.1 AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION SERVICES 1. 1.1 AERONAUTICAL AUTHORITY Responsibility for civil aviation in Australia and its Territories rests with two organisations: the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Airservices Australia (abbreviated: Airservices). CASA is responsible for safety regulation of all civil aviation in Australia, including the safety regulation of Airservices’ provision of support services. The AIS is responsible for the collection, collation and dissemination of aeronautical information and instructions relating to the safety, regularity and efficiency of air navigation within the areas covered. An International NOTAM Office (NOF) is established at Brisbane (YBBBYNYX) for the purpose of the international exchange of NOTAM. Area of Responsibility. The AIS is responsible for the collection and dissemination of aeronautical information for the entire A/L 45 effective 24 NOV 05
