ETOPS icing exposure has not proven to be a historical problem – Over 4,600 diversions in 22 years – No reported problems due to icing Icing Fuel Limitation – TAI expected to be most limiting fuel case (100% of forecast icing exposure time) – Boeing data includes both engine (CAI) and wing (WAI) contributions Icing conditions may also be present outside of ETP diversion tracks – Icing exposure area
