Clear of obstacles • Accelerate airplane to V2 + 15 kt (min) flaps 10 V2 + 25 kt flaps 20 • “FLAPS 0” • “ENGINE FAILURE ABOVE V1 SPEED CHECKLIST” Rudder and ailerons as required for directional control Initial climb • V2 speed takeoff “GEAR UP” flaps (pitchup to maintain V2 speed) “V2 + 25” Clear of obstacles HDG & FLC “POSITIVE RATE” (when a positive rate of climb is established) Keep skid indicator centered using rudder or rudder trim • Continue climb at 170 KIAS, if necessary • Reduce thrust to CLB
