1500 AGL and clear of obstacles • Accelerates airplane to V2 + 25 kt (minimum) • “FLAPS UP” • “ENGINE FAILURE ABOVE V1 SPEED CHECKLIST” Rudder as required for directional control “GEAR UP” (pitch to maintain specified attitude (V2 speed) “V2 + 25” Clear of obstacles/1500 AGL Initial climb • V2 speed takeoff flaps Keep the ball centered using rudder input • Continue climb at 200 KIAS, if necessary • Reduce thrust to MCT VR rotate airplane to specified noseup pitch attitude “ROTATE” (VR) “POSITIVE RATE” (when a positive rate of climb is established) NOTE: Directional control improves if nosewheel is kept on the runway (with forward pressure on the control wheel) until VR
